Frantoio is the olive that characterizes more than other varieties all the tuscan blends with its typical bitter notes. The monocultivar olive oil that Pruneti obtains from this variety is very intense: also in a simple oil tasting with the glass it makes possible to feel the sensations of dipping artichoke into olive oil.
Oil of strong intensity, most of all in the perception of bitter sensations, with strong notes of artichoke and rocket; lighter spicy sensation, characterized by green pepper.
Recommended for oil-dip, ribollita and legume-based soups, boiled legumes, grilled vegetables and grilled meat. Useful for dishes that require a strong-intensity oil.
