A panel of tasters of the most qualified was called to identify the best extra virgin olive oils produced in the world in total transparency and impartiality, and chose the Pruneti monocultivar Frantoio from organic farming among the top prizes.

For a month Pruneti olives groves and San Polo in Chianti landscape will be painted by the beautiful pale purple of Iris in bloom.
Throughout this period the Pruneti Frantoio is open to visitors to admire the scenery, walking among the Iris in bloom, knowing better this historically important flower for our area, traditionally grown in San Polo in Chianti and cultivated by Pruneti family since 1800 .

From 5 to 8 May there will be the Iris festival with a rich program of initiatives.
Frantoio Pruneti will host on May 7 at 10.30 the conference "The iris, between art and history."
Sunday, May 8 a nice walk between the hills and the irises in bloom accompanied by hiking guide with start and finish to our Frantoio and tasting of bruschetta (info and reservations Stefano Mattii 3387888401).

Always Sunday, May 8 there will be the fourth Scarpinata among irises with a non-competitive trail of 16.5 km (info and reservations 3384077946).

In Naples from Salvo Pizzaioli there is a pizza combined with our own Extra Virgin Olive Oil Pruneti, in particular with the IGP Colline di Firenze. It is the Pizza Cotto Branchi 60s and Mushrooms Cardoncelli.
We like to talk about it because Salvatore and Francesco Salvo are heirs to a family pizza makers for generations and have embraced the philosophy of Excellence: in search of the best pizza dough, the selection of ingredients and the dressings, in particular of Extra Virgin.
