Pruneti wins a prestigious new award with the medal of The Magnificent 2017.
A panel of tasters of the most qualified was called to identify the best extra virgin olive oils produced in the world in total transparency and impartiality, and chose the Pruneti monocultivar Frantoio from organic farming among the top prizes.

Pruneti won the Corona of Mastro d´Olio for Monocultivar Moraiolo, from organic farming,.
A new award for Pruneti selections and for the high quality standards of the company attentive to territorial typicality and characterized by a production chain 100% Pruneti.

The award ceremony will take place February 17, 2017 at the Teatro San Girolamo di Lucca within the event ExtraLucca.

In Naples from Salvo Pizzaioli there is a pizza combined with our own Extra Virgin Olive Oil Pruneti, in particular with the IGP Colline di Firenze. It is the Pizza Cotto Branchi 60s and Mushrooms Cardoncelli.
We like to talk about it because Salvatore and Francesco Salvo are heirs to a family pizza makers for generations and have embraced the philosophy of Excellence: in search of the best pizza dough, the selection of ingredients and the dressings, in particular of Extra Virgin.
Salvo Pizzaioli in Naples, in fact, says that talk of Extra Virgin Olive Oil for Pizza is an understatement. Each Oil, each cultivar, just as in the world of wine, has its own character and each pairing is the result of a relentless pursuit that values in terms of taste each pizza. The Moraiolo D.O.P. Chianti Classico Extra Virgin Olive Oil Organic Pruneti received the Gold award in the competition Monocultivaroil Expo 2014 among the Best Olive Oils Monocultivar in the world. The competition is a project of Gino Celletti to give recognition at the highest level of quality of virgin olive oil.

Frantoio is probably the variety that most of the other contributes to characterize the Tuscan blends through its typical bitter and spicy notes.
